Botswana’s recent rainy season has resulted in restrictions at both Moremi Game Reserve and Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

Moremi Game Reserve South Gate entrance has closed to self-drive clients travelling at this time due to flooding and road damage. Central Kalahari Game Reserve has also restricted self-drivers to a minimum of two vehicles travelling together.

Harriet Floyd, Sales & Marketing Executive at Sense of Africa Botswana, says outbreaks of malaria have also increased as water levels have risen, but as the rainy season has now come to an end the roads are drying up rapidly and conditions are gradually returning to normal.
