A new community-run camp in the Okavango Delta will be opening in August 1 2020 called Khwai Leadwood.
African Bush Camps is launching the beautiful camp on the edge of the Khwai River that separates the Moremi Game Reserve and the concession, with hippos, elephants and lions crossing over from time to time.
Safari travellers will be able to watch these animals manoeuvre through the water. The camp will host six standard tents and one family unit, keeping in line with the intimate and exclusive wilderness experience.
During the day, guests can enjoy game drives, walking safaris and mokoro safaris (water levels permitting) on the search for Africa’s big attractions including lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe.
Guests can head off on night drives and get an up-close and personal experience with some of Africa’s nocturnal and more elusive animals.
Activities also include cultural visits, water activities and bird watching all led by our qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with travellers.
Currently, African Bush Camps is running a ‘never-to-repeat’ special to SADC (Southern African Community Development) residents to encourage them to embrace reduced travelling rates up until end April. The offering includes a more than R6k saving on a three-night stay per person when booking and settling your travel dates for 2020.
