Great Plains Conservation, which offers African safari adventures in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya, has released a video celebrating rhinos and their protectors in anticipation of World Rhino Day tomorrow (Friday, September 22).
“The outrage against the senseless killing of animals for ridiculous cures for humans, as unfounded as that is, is countered with the sheer admiration we have for anti-poaching units, activists across the globe, men and women we have supported via Project Ranger and those who step forward in any way to help,” Great Plains Conservation said.
Its Project Ranger aims to support those on the front lines of conservation, filling critical gaps and supporting wildlife monitors, rangers and the anti-poaching operations of NGOs and conservation organisations in Africa.
It also praised the conservation efforts of African Parks for purchasing 2 000 rhinos with the goal of distributing them into the world over the next ten years.
