Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa, on the banks of the Chobe River in Kasane, Botswana, will undergo a refurbishment in the second quarter of 2018.
John Gray, GM, told Tourism Update, that the hotel would remain open throughout the refurbishment. "Upgrades will be done in stages to keep disruption to a minimum for in-house guests as Mowana will remain open throughout."
The work will entail a soft refashioning of bedrooms, redesign of the Serondella restaurant, redesign of the Savuti bar a well as the boma area. The reception area and conference rooms will also be updated.
Mokwena Morulane, MD, said the company would spend P31 million (€2.6m) on the refurbishment.
Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa has 108 luxury air-conditioned bedrooms and suites, all with river views, a nine-hole golf course and fully equipped spa.
