Guvon Hotels & Spas is adding a second golfing destination to its portfolio, bringing the number of properties in the group to eight.  

Kosie Pansegrouw, MD of Guvon Hotels & Spas, and Gary Geddes, GM of Ruimsig Country Club, have signed a five-year agreement under which Guvon will manage and market the conference, banqueting and other food and beverage facilities at Ruimsig. 
The country club is situated in Gauteng and offers several multifunctional venues that can host up to 350 guests, making it ideal for year-end functions, weddings, banqueting and conferences.
“Expansion and renovation plans include the establishment of a fine dining restaurant, upgrading of the halfway-house and conference facilities and adding a range of finer touches, bringing the club house back to its original glory and even surpassing it,” said Geddes.
Pansegrouw added: “Guvon Academy, the training division of Guvon Hotels, will also be actively involved in Ruimsig Country Club by giving students the ideal platform to gain invaluable work experience and to launch their hospitality careers.”  
Other hotels under the Guvon Hotels & Spas umbrella are the five-star Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa, three-star Glenburn Lodge, Chicama Country Spa and Bush Willow tented Camp in Muldersdrift, the four-star Umbhaba Lodge in Hazyview, The Fairway Hotels & Golf Resort on the Randpark Golf Course and All Suite on 14TH in Fairlands, Johannesburg.
