Jackalberry Tented Camp will close at the end of January for a refurb and rebuild. It is expected to reopen in April.
The camp is close to the Linyanti River in an exclusive concession inside the Nkasa Rupara National Park, 150km west of Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region of northern Namibia.
MD, Simone Micheletti, said the renovations would see the four luxury tents rebuilt, a new swimming pool and a new covered dining area.
The main building is constructed around a huge jackalberry tree, and has multiple floors that house the reception, dining, lounge and bar areas. The second floor has a spacious and comfortable lounge that provides exceptional views, while the ground floor hosts a communal fireplace.
The camp has three twin rooms and one honeymoon double room, all with en-suite bathroom, coffee/tea station, and hot water powered by solar power. All rooms are customised large tents with an average 32.4m in length, and have views across the lagoons.
Activities include game drives, night drives, and boat cruises.
