Tanzanian hospitality operator TAASA Luxury Lodges & Camps has announced the launch of a new family-friendly mobile tented camp in the Serengeti, due to open in July 2025.
Designed as a complement to its existing flagship TAASA Lodge in the Great Migration circuit of Northern Tanzania, TAASA Migration Camp will relocate throughout the year to follow the migrating herds of wildebeest and zebra.
The camp will feature 12 opulent tented suites, including options for families and groups, provided by two interconnecting tents. During the dry season, from July to October, the camp will be located in the Kogatende region, before moving to the Ndutu region for the green season from December to March. During May and June, the camp will be situated at Musabi Plains.
Facilities and amenities will include a lounge, bar tent, outdoor fire pit and souvenir shop, along with WiFi, laundry and room service.
Activities include unlimited game drives, with the option of booking an exclusive-use vehicle with a private guide. The camp will also provide easy access to various hot air balloon safari tours.
“We're thrilled to announce the addition of a new property to our portfolio. This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional experiences while empowering our communities and allowing more guests to discover the unique 'TAASA Way' of doing hospitality,” said Jim Roane and Peter Taunton, owners of TAASA Luxury Lodges & Camps.
