Iberia and TAAG Angola Airlines initiated their codeshare agreement this week, strengthening the connectivity between Africa and Europe.
The agreement comes as part of the shared objective between Spain and Angola to create new international commercial, economic, cultural and tourism opportunities.
In accordance with the agreement, Iberia will now be able to operate direct flights between Madrid and Luanda. Two flights a week will be offered, beginning on October 13.
Flight IB1425 will operate on Mondays and Fridays, departing Madrid at 22h55 and arriving in Luanda at 05h20 the following day. Return flight IB1426 operates on Thursdays and Sundays, departing Luanda at 21h00 and arriving in Madrid at 05h20 the following day.
The agreement also includes connections to flights from Luanda to Cape Town and Johannesburg, Windhoek and Maputo. TAAG will offer connections to Iberia flights from Madrid to Barcelona, Oporto, Amsterdam, Brussels, Geneva, Zurich, Rome and Milan.
