Tourism stakeholders have voiced a strong interest in the travel and related services section of South Africa’s new Tourism Professionalisation Strategy, which was presented to industry role-players for input in a series of online engagement sessions last week.
The engagements focused on five areas, namely governance, accommodation, travel and related services, hospitality and education and training. The largest proportion of respondents to our latest poll (36%) selected travel and related services as being of the most relevance to them, followed by education and training (31%). The remainder of the votes were split between hospitality (13%), governance (11%) and accommodation (9%).
