Zannier Hotels, the Belgium-based hospitality group, is to open a new lodge in Windhoek, Namibia, in July.
Quentin Guiraud, Public Relations & Communication Manager told Tourism Update: “The construction started few months ago and is about to end. We plan to open the lodge on July 1.”
Omaanda, as it will be known, refers to the rhinos that are present on the reserve where the lodge is built. It will offer eight one-bedroom huts and two two-bedroom huts, all with private terraces. Omaanda will accommodate children over six years (the one-bedroom huts can accommodate two adults and one child, and the two-bedroom huts, four adults and two children).
All huts offer a bathroom with separate toilet, walk-in shower, double sink and a large bathtub with a view. The bedroom has a king-size bed and a walk-in dressing room, an open fireplace and a private terrace. Every hut has a flat-screen television, free WiFi, an integrated sound system, a safe, a minibar, and air-conditioning.
Facilities include a restaurant and a bar overlooking outdoor heated infinity pool. A spa (two double treatment rooms) and a boma.
Guests will also have access to private parking, and a boutique selling furniture, fashion and souvenirs.
Omaanda is situated on the Zannier Reserve by N/a’anku sê, a private animal conservancy reserve of 9 000 hectares on the former Ondekaremba land east of Windhoek.
Zannier Hotels owns and operates hotels in France and Cambodia and will soon open in Vietnam and Namibia.
