The new Karoi-Binga road in Zimbabwe, which directly links the Matabeleland north and Mashonaland west provinces, will become the shortest route from Harare to Binga and Victoria Falls, reducing the journey by over 200km.
The project is expected to boost international tourism in Victoria Falls, Matusadona National Park and Binga.
Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa says the District Development Fund is spearheading the project. “It is 343km from the Harare-Chirundu highway turnoff to Binga.”
Other tourist attractions along the Karoi-Binga road include Bumi Hills and the Kariba Dam.
The project is set for completion by mid-year.
