Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda have unveiled a website to jointly market the region’s tourism products in international markets while tourism suppliers can share their packages on the site. The website can be accessed here < http://eadp2.hexakomb.com/>.
The site offers information on products, destinations and experiences.
Kenya Tourism Board CEO, Betty Radier, said the website would assist tourists who wanted to visit Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
The regional tourism products portal was launched on the sidelines of Uganda’s travel show, Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo, which began last Friday and ended on Sunday.
Ugandan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community, Kirunda Kivenjinja, called on partner states to fast track efforts to market the region as a single tourist destination.
Kivenjinja said tourism in the region would perform better if the East African countries did joint marketing.
“Rwanda is committed to supporting the regional joint marketing efforts for the region to attract more tourists to help create jobs and economic growth,” said Rwandan High Commissioner to Uganda, Frank Mugambage.
