Jessica Ferreira has been appointed Executive Assistant Manager of Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel in Johannesburg.
The hotel is part of the Rezidor Group, where Ferreira worked previously.
Her career began at the Protea Edward Hotel in Durban, where she was a waitress. Management soon offered her a traineeship, which she completed in 2005. She then took on the role of Front Desk Supervisor at the Protea Hotel Wanderers in Johannesburg, followed by Assistant Front Office Manager at the InterContinental in Sandton, where she was promoted to Front Office Manager.
After being headhunted by the Radisson Blu Sandton, she worked as Front Office Manager, was promoted to Rooms Division Manager, and then Executive Assistant Manager in charge of the Rooms Division. She was there for just over seven years before joining the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel.
“It was time for a change in environment and a new challenge – a vacancy for my current position of Executive Assistant Manager became available. I got the job and work under General Manager, Werner Geere’s, leadership,” she says.
“Although the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel represents a new challenge, I bring with me a wealth of experience, having worked at the Rezidor Group before. I believe my systems knowledge and background in the company will be valuable in my new position.”
