Robert Hodson has been appointed Divisional Operations Manager at Legacy Hotels Group. He will oversee operations in Zimbabwe, Namibia, Ghana and Nigeria, but will still be based at the group’s head office in Johannesburg.
Hodson has been with the company for more than 22 years and has held various management positions during his tenure, the most recent of which was GM for Sales and Marketing at the group.
He says: “I have grown up in the Legacy fold and really enjoy watching the group grow, overcome challenges and reinvent itself all the time. Hotels have to have a sense of excitement and energy, this leads to true guest satisfaction.”
Ross Kata has been appointed Head of Sales and Marketing for Legacy Hotels & Resorts. He joins the group from Expedia.
Four Seasons Resort Seychelles and Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island announced that Karen Lipka Whitaker has joined the team as Senior Sales Manager overlooking the US, Canadian, Mexican and South American markets.
She has over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and has been working with Four Seasons for the past 20 years.

Frank Mwesigwa has been appointed the new Commander of the Tourism Police in Uganda.
