Three new board members for the Board of Cape Town Tourism, were chosen by Cape Town Tourism’s members:
Brett Hendricks, General Manager at Thebe Tourism Group has 10 years’ experience in the tourism industry. He has been GM of Thebe Tourism Group since 2012, prior to which he was the group’s CFO.
Chantelle Cole, Executive Manager, Strategic Projects and Brands for V&A Waterfront, has experience in the areas of marketing, communication and business management. Cole is also an expert in tourism development.
Julie-May Ellingson, CEO of Cape Town International Convention Centre, has experience in business and leisure tourism, marketing, economic development and events. She is passionate about local economic development and the role the tourism sector can play in job creation and the empowerment of local communities.

Josiah Montsho has been appointed General Manager at the Pepperclub Hotel & Spa.
Montsho has 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry having begun his career as a porter at Sun City’s Cascades Hotel. He has gained experience across various areas of hotel management, which includes working in the finance department as cost controller at Cascades Hotel after completing his hotel school studies.
In his role as General Manager at Pepperclub Hotel & Spa, Montsho will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall guest experience at the hotel. “My job description is simple – focus 100% on guests’ experience, always strive for service excellence and ensure that the guests’ needs and expectations are not only met, but exceeded,” said Montsho.
Kristine Moodie is the newly appointed Head Chef at Mhondoro Game Lodge, in Welgevonden Game Reserve, Limpopo, South Africa.
