A large interactive photo frame has been constructed in Lone Creek Falls in Sabie, Mpumalanga, according to the Sabie Local Tourism Organisation (LTO) committee.
The frame is at the foot of Lone Creek Waterfall so that guests can take their photos with the attraction visible in the background.
“Digital technology has profoundly changed the way in which tourists interact with destinations and with each other,” says Heather Berry from Sabie LTO.
To keep up with the trends of the modern traveller, the frame was installed with a vertical column of large wooden blocks that can be rotated. Each side of each block has a different message or emoji, and together they can be arranged to spell out phrases such as ‘I love Sabie Panorama Route’ or ‘She said yes’.
“It was time for Sabie to create an opportunity that our modern-day travellers would want to share on the ever-popular social media platforms,” said Berry.
