The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has appointed Myriad Marketing, an MMGY Global company, as its North American representative, to increase US and Canadian visitors to the country. It will manage the marketing, travel trade relations, and public relations efforts in the US and Canada.
Julie Averay Cuesta, Senior Vice President of Myriad Travel Marketing, said Rwanda was beginning to gain awareness from North American markets as a tourism destination. “We believe with Myriad’s representation expertise and Rwanda’s high-calibre tourism experiences and upcoming developments, we can help bring Rwanda to the forefront of wildlife, adventure and outdoor travel.”
Belise Kariza, RDB’s Chief Tourism Officer, said: “We are thrilled to have Myriad join us in our efforts to promote our remarkable destination. Their expertise in international destination representation will allow us to make great strides to increase visitation from North America.
“We’re in an incredible position and look forward to further promoting our dynamic landscape, from our capital city Kigali to our volcanoes, rainforest and safaris, new luxury properties, and annual signature events such as our Kwita Izina – the gorilla-naming ceremony. We’re looking forward to seeing how the destination grows from here.”
