SANParks has announced that it will release contracted accommodation blocked off for the FIFA World Cup 2010 back into available inventory.
The three camps in the Kruger National Park that were closest to the airport and the national road had, until now, been fully allocated to MATCH. These were Skukuza, Pretoriuskop and Berg-en-Dal.
To reduce speculative bookings, SANParks will want a 50% deposit within 10 days of a booking for a larger group, GM Sales and Marketing, Bheki Zwane, told Tourism Update Online.
SANParks had allocated a third of its inventory to MATCH.
The new inventory will be reflected on the SANPark’s site, www.sanparks.co.za, from Thursday, March 4.
