The latest addition to the Simbavati Lodge Collection is set to open on April 1. Although Simbavati Waterside has its own distinctive appeal, the Simbavati Lodge Collection’s brand promise of Africalm – a state of being where body, mind and spirit align – will be delivered through exceptional guest experiences and extraordinary hospitality.
Location is everything!
Flanking a large dam in the southern Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, this intimate luxury lodge accommodates no more than sixteen guests in eight suites – six of which occupy their own private space overlooking the water. Two suites are more remote and have their own private plunge pools. Four suites are ideal for families.
A lodge to suit any profile
Taking a leaf out of the book of Simbavati River Lodge in the Timbavati Game Reserve, which appeals to both couples and families alike, Simbavati Waterside will offer the perfect getaway for every type of traveller. The carefully considered lodge structure affords both privacy for partners as well as family-friendly spaces.
Those in search of romance will enjoy the lodge’s many intimate spaces, imaginative private dining settings and surprise treats to celebrate honeymoons and anniversaries. Or the simple pleasure of disconnecting from life to reconnect with each another.
Facilities include a swimming pool, boma, wine cellar, lounge, bar, spa, gym, and safari boutique.
Why the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve?
Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is a 60 000-hectare (148 000 acre) Big 5 Reserve, sharing an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park to the north and the Timbavati Game Reserve to the south. As one of South Africa’s largest private reserves, it affords an utterly exclusive safari experience with only a handful of commercial lodges and thus, a very low human density ratio. Guests have the opportunity to spend unhurried time at each sighting, enjoying the spirit of exploration that was part and parcel of the original private safari experience.
This vast tract of preserved land has a unique terrain and diverse habitat, from flat plains to rocky outcrops to hilly landscapes, with an abundance of mature leadwood and tamboti trees and riverine vegetation near the magnificent Klaserie River.
