The C Kite Festival, which brings together professional kite surfers from around the globe for high-speed kitesurfing competitions and expert demonstrations, returns to the east coast of Mauritius at the C Mauritius resort from July 14-16.
The festival, in collaboration with Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and Air Mauritius, also celebrates the kite art trend. Over the past 30 years, kitesurfing has become one of the world's most popular water sports.
Former kitesurf world champion, TV host and onboard reporter for 2023 Ocean Race, Antoine Auriol, will host the festival.
Participants can immerse themselves in kitesurfing sessions and be treated to live demos by the world's top kite surfers.
Headlining this year's professional list are:
• Youri Zoon – Two-time world champion and two-time vice world champion.
• Victor Hays – Pro kite boarder.
• Paul Serin – French champion and big air pro.
• Tom Hebert – Two-time vice world champion.
• Hay Katz – Holder of the 9.0 best score one trick – big air, three-time silver and two-time bronze Israel champion.
• Arthur Guillebert – Freestyle kite surfer, world champion 2021, and two-time European champion 2014-15.
The C Kite festival will also host a list of VIP guests:
• Yarden Sax – International saxophonist, DJ, and music producer from Tel Aviv.
• Thomas Frake – UK’s MasterChef Champion 2020.
• Soufiane Hamaini – International kite surfer with a fourth-place overall world ranking and the first Arab athlete to participate in the world championship. Founder of the Moroccan Association of Kite Surfing and owner of kite school – Dakla Spirit.
• Alice Le Moigne – Kite surfer, world longboard champion ISA (International Surfing Association) and vice world champion WSL (World Surf League).
The festival will conclude each day with evening entertainment.
