“We are screening all people from coronavirus-affected areas so that we are ready. Our facilities have requisite capacity and we will stay on high alert making.”
The Epidemiology and Disease Control Director for the Department of Health and Child Care, Dr Portia Manangazira, told Tourism Update that quarantine rooms and isolation units have been set up at the country’s ports of entry and selected hospitals in the country respectively to handle any suspected case of coronavirus.
“Staff at the country’s ports of entry has also been trained to screen and handle all suspected cases and there is no need to panic. Tourists should continue visiting Zimbabwe,” she said.
