The Zambezi Queen, the flagship vessel of the Zambezi Queen Collection by Mantis, has undergone an extensive refurbishment.
The 42-metre luxury houseboat has 14 suites, with ten standard and four luxury suites, all of which have outer decks with large windows overlooking the Chobe River and Chobe National Park in Botswana.
The renovations took six weeks to complete and included updating the paintwork, carpeting, furnishings, finishes, and fabrics, both inside and outside the boat.
According to Kate Powell, General Manager, Sales and Marketing for the Zambezi Queen Collection, the new look of the houseboat is comfortable, welcoming, and luxurious. The goal was to create a design that complemented the extraordinary surroundings of the Chobe and met the expectations of guests.
Each suite received new carpets, wardrobes, headboards, bedside tables, sconces, throws, pillows, and linen.
The upper deck, which includes the bar, lounge, and dining area, was decorated with earthy palette colours. A newly revamped library section with onboard binoculars was added for guests to relax and spot game.
The outdoor furniture was updated with L-shaped couches and poolside loungers, and a new cocktail lounge area was added at the stern to provide snacks and sundowners.
Powell emphasised that the staff is always available to mix up cocktails or offer towels for a dip in the pool. Every corner of the boat promises a unique spot to relax and watch life on the Chobe River.
