ARABELLA Starwood, operators of The Westin Grand Cape Town Arabella Quays and the Arabella Western Cape Hotel & Spa, have launched a new spa concept at both hotels. This follows extensive refurbishment of both award-winning facilities and the introduction of new, exclusive products from Paris and the Caribbean.
Sam Reynolds, Spa manager at The Westin Grand Cape Town, said with the exclusive right in South Africa to the Anne Sémonin and Ligne St Barth products, the spas sought to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive and sophisticated spa environment in the country. Arabella had worked with specialists from both laboratories to develop five patented, signature treatments that were unique to South Africa. These included a jet lag therapy and a new facial, which removed toxins and stress. Improvements to the Westin Grand Spa included a revamp of treatment rooms; the addition of a second double-treatment room; a new sauna with panoramic views of Cape Town and Table Bay; a new steam room; quartz crystal flooring, under-floor heating in the changing rooms; and LCD TV and sound system in the gym. At the Arabella Western Cape Hotel Hotel & Spa the revamp included a new sauna, a steam room and tepidarium, upgrades to the indoor hydro-pool and quartz crystal flooring.
