A new ‘close-to-nature’ walking safari camp – the Simbavati Trails Camp – is set to launch next month in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve in Hoedspruit, Mpumalanga.
African Inspiration Hotels and Lodges has announced that the camp will open on March 1 and will cater for up to eight guests over the age of 16. It is located next to the Kruger National Park and wildlife roam freely around the tents.
The back-to-basics camp does not have electricity or cellphone reception.
Luxury and comfort are a priority, according to Arthur Collett, CEO of African Inspirations. He says guests will have access to a swimming pool, relaxation area, in-room amenities, hot water for bucket showers and meals cooked by the camp chef over an open fire, for a uniquely African boma dining experience.
Morning and afternoon walks through the bush with professional guides are the highlight of the experience. “Simbavati Trails Camp will serve well to complement our current offerings in the Timbavati and we look forward to taking the African safari from on a vehicle, to being on foot,” says Collett.
