THE new De Noordhoek Hotel on the Cape Peninsula and all its facilities are scheduled to be fully operational from April 1.
Punted as ‘Cape country at the beach’, the traditional Cape Dutch style hotel presides over Noordhoek’s Farm Village, which comprises restaurants, pubs and arty shops situated at one end of scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive. The work of local artists depicting local scenes is showcased throughout the hotel. Its décor is Cape traditional with clay tile floors and wooden ceilings. Bedrooms are stylish but functional and ensuite bathrooms have showers and baths. There are 20 non-smoking rooms and one honeymoon suite with private garden. In-room facilities include ADSL, TV with 12 satellite channels, telephones, hair-dryers and electronic safes. Other facilities include a pool; a breakfast room that doubles as a bar at night; a small business centre; an outside fountain courtyard; a reception/lounge with fireplace; and secure parking. There are ramps for wheelchairs and four ground-floor wheelchair-friendly rooms.
