Duba Plains Camp by Great Plains Conservation, in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, is currently being rebuilt and is expected to open in March 2017.
The camp will comprise five tents able to accommodate two adults and one child, as well as a two-bedroom private villa called Duba Plains Suite. Each tent has its own en-suite bathroom, lounge area, private deck and pool. The private villa sleeps a maximum of four adults and includes the services of a private butler, guide, and chef. Rooms will also have environmentally friendly air-conditioner systems installed.
Guests of Duba Plains Camp can choose to either dine in the main dining area, in the privacy of their own tent, or out in the field when outdoor activities occur. The camp will also have a new boat specifically designed for photographic opportunities equipped with brackets where guests can mount their cameras.
Duba Expedition Camp will continue to operate once Duba Plains Camp has reopened.
Great Plains Conservation will also offer air transfers between its camps on an executive cessna caravan, seating seven guests. The aircraft will be ready for inter-camp air transfers between Maun and camps (Duba Expedition/Duba Plains, Selinda Camp, Selinda Explorers Camp, Selinda Adventure Trail, Zarafa and Zarafa Dhow Suites) from the middle of November.
