The Residence Boutique Hotel, in Houghton, Johannesburg, recently completed a refurbishment.

A new couple’s treatment room has been added at the spa, which previously had only one treatment room for couples. Aaron Menezes, Co-Founder and Executive Chef of The Residence Portfolio, said: “Each one is unique, providing our guests with an open area option, or a dark cosy enclosed option, therefore providing guests with the option of two different experiences.”

The deck around the heated pool was also expanded and new tables and chairs have been added so that guests can enjoy lunch around the pool area. “This space will also be utilised to hold small gatherings for afternoon gin tastings and/or high teas,” added Menezes.

The gym has been relocated to the second floor, overlooking one of the hotel’s pools and providing guests with great views while training.

The gym offering has been expanded with new cardio equipment and weights.
