Catharina's Restaurant at the Steenberg Hotel and Winery in Constantia has opened with a new look after closing in September for renovations. The new 90-seater restaurant has been ‘opened up’ to offer views of False Bay, the surrounding Steenberg Mountains and the verdant Steenberg vineyards. A courtyard and a conservatory are also new features.  Inside, the new contemporary décor echos an African theme while retaining the traditional Cape Dutch architecture. In additin, executive chef, Garth Almazan, has created a new menu focusing on contemporary South African cuisine.
