Cullinan Holdings has announced several developments within the group, with various changes being implemented to its Cape Town office space and buildings.
The changes include:
• A new ‘A grade’ coach depot located in Salt River Cape Town is being built for Hylton Ross and Ikapa and will be completed and come on line by November 1. This depot will have full maintenance work shops, office space and under roof parking for all of its 100 vehicles (both coaches and minibuses). In addition, a depot has also been purchased for Hylton Ross and Ikapa in Johannesburg that will allow the coach fleet in Johannesburg to double in size.
• An office building with retail space is also being built at Chiappini Square, Cape Town, on Buitengracht Street. This office building will be completed by March 2013 and will provide office space for the Thompsons Holidays Cape Town call centre and the Pentravel marketing department. It will also provide retail space for Thompsons Leisure and Manex Marine at ground level, and will feature ample parking space for customers.
The Cullinan head office will remain in Johannesburg and the Thompsons Africa head office will remain in Durban.
“The cost of the upgrade of the above mentioned infrastructure is expected to exceed R100 million and reflects our confidence in the long term growth of South African tourism,” says Chairman of Cullinan Holdings, Michael Tollman.
