BOULDERS Penguin Colony in Simon’s Town will be a hive of activity for families during the weekend of 27-28 September. Lots of prizes are up for grabs and there will be displays and videos, raffles, free guided tours, hair spraying, face painting and colouring-in competitions.
Tea, coffee and cake will be on sale. Beach games, including sandcastle building, ‘Feed Percy Penguin’, pick ‘n square and pop a balloon will offer visitors a chance to be part of the action and to win prizes. All activities will take place between 10h00 and 16h00 on Saturday and Sunday.
Monique Ruthenberg, Table Mountain National Park section ranger for Simon’s Town who manages Boulders, has designed activities for kids of various ages.
