The Western Cape Standing Committee on Economic Opportunities, Tourism and Agriculture is seeking to make recommendations on the implementation of the new Immigration Regulations to Parliament.
This comes after the held a series of public hearings and compiled a report outlining its concerns and making recommendations.
The regulations include the requirement that people travelling to South Africa on a visa need to apply for these visas in person.
The Report will be debated by the House on Thursday, November 27, after which the Western Cape Provincial Parliament will, via the Office of the Speaker, bring the recommendations to the attention of National Parliament for consideration and possible further action.
