Kenya Airways will launch twice-daily flights to Eldoret in Kenya’s Rift Valley from July 4. The airline will operate narrow-body Embraer E170 aircraft on the route, departing Nairobi at 07h40 and 17h15 and departing Eldoret at 09h10 and 19h00. Kenya Airways Group MD, Titus Naikuni, said the airline had decided to launch flights based on growing passenger volumes as devolution took root and more businesses took advantage of the unfolding economic opportunities.
“Eldoret is a busy town, considering its proximal location to the country food basket. Also, as more people seek opportunities in the counties, we expect passenger volumes to grow,” he added.
The airline will also launch six flights a week to Kilimanjaro International Airport in northern Tanzania from July 2 and daily flights from September 30.
