Korean Air will launch a direct flight from Seoul’s Incheon International Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, on June 21, making it the first airline to operate direct flights from north-east Asia to the city.
“This is not only an exciting addition to the airline’s global network but also serves as a catalyst to facilitate travel between north-east Asia and Africa,” said Jaeho Kim, Korean Air’s Managing Vice President for Europe, Middle East & Africa.
The flights will be operated by a 226-seat A330-200 aircraft.
Flights will depart Seoul Incheon at 22:15 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Nairobi at 05:30 next day. Return flights will depart Nairobi at 10:30 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Seoul Incheon at 04:50 next day.
“With only 13 hours’ flying time, the flight will offer passengers the ultimate convenience in travelling between the two cities,” said Kim.
