Singita Game Reserves has appointed Jason Trollip Tourism Executive for Singita Grumeti Reserves. He was previously general manager at Singita Sabi Sand. The newly created position will see him co-ordinate and oversee the hospitality offering for its various lodges and camps.
His wife, Loraine, will take up the position of Operations Manager for the Singita Grumeti Reserves Mobile Camps division, which includes the recently launched Singita Explore, as well as two new camps that are currently being conceptualised.
Graham Kennedy has been appointed General Manager at Singita Sabi Sand. He was previously General Manager at Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat in the Cederberg since 2009. Prior to that, he was the regional operations director (Botswana & Namibia) for &Beyond for 12 years.
His wife, Ronel, takes up the newly created position of People Development Manager at Singita Sabi Sand. Her duties include managing the human resources and community development portfolios from a strategic level.
Teena Douglas has been made Sales and Marketing Manager of Lagoon Beach Hotel in Cape Town. Andre Turnbull has been promoted to the position of General Manager.
The Cape Town Partnership has appointed new board members. Respected academic, writer and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Town, Professor Njabulo Ndebele, has been appointed Chairperson. He takes over the reins from Kevin Roman, who served on the Cape Town Partnership board for 13 years.
“I think I speak on behalf of Cape Town Partnership staff and partners in saying that I look forward to working with Professor Ndebele in future. He brings with him a formidable reputation as a leader, a teacher, a thinker and a communicator,” said Cape Town Partnership Managing Director, Bulelwa Makalima Ngewana.
Six new Cape Town Partnership board members also joined: Thabo Mashologu, Managing Director of Msingi Construction Project Management; Amelia Jones, CEO of the Community Chest of the Western Cape; Leila Mahomed Weideman, Director of Genesis Eco-Energy; Ralph Hamann, Research Director and Associate Professor as the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, Refqah Fataar Ho-Yee, Director of Smith Tabata Buchanan Bayes Attorneys and Hanns Bohle, Vice-President of the Cape Chamber of Commerce.
