The luxurious 117-room Grand Plaza Hotel Nampula has opened in Nampula in northern Mozambique.
The architect, Maria João Zagallo, told Tourism Update that the accommodation included 94 standard double and twin rooms; rooms and facilities for disabled guests; 18 junior suites (with living room); four executive suites (with office); and a presidential suite.
Facilities include a restaurant, coffee shop and a bar. “We have the Plaza Lounge, coffee shop in the lobby area, the Green Bar in the pool area, and the Panorama Restaurant, on the top floor with a fantastic view over the city. Our Portuguese, Indian and Mozambican chefs offer international cuisine of great refinement and quality,” said Zagallo.
The hotel has four meeting rooms, each with capacity for about 12 people; and three conference rooms on the top floor, each accommodating 50 people, with the possibility of opening into a conference room for 150 people.
