Silverstone Air recently launched the first direct flights from Kisumu to Mombasa International Airport in Kenya, which is expected to have a positive impact on tourism.
The flights operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flights from Kisumu depart at 13h00 and arrive in Mombasa at 14h40. Flights from Mombasa depart at 15h00 and arrive in Kisumu at 16h40.
Silverstone Air operates a 50-seat Fokker 50 on the route.
Sales and Marketing Manager for Silverstone Air, Patrick Oketch said the low-cost carrier had already received an overwhelming amount of enquiries regarding the new direct route, and that the flights were already reaching full capacity.
“This route will promote tourism between the great western and the coastal regions,” says Oketch.
