Tangala Safari Camp in the Thornybush Game Reserve has announced that it is under new management, after entering a 30-year lease agreement with Karama, a consortium of tourism and safari specialists.

From June 1, Tangala ended its association with Tangala Safaris cc and is now wholly managed by the Karama Group.

Operations Director, Russell Smith, said the next few months would have clients and operators seeing a distinct upgrading of all aspects of the lodge, without losing its authentic charm. "Tangala is about simplicity – no unnecessary frills and minimal fuss."

The camp will remain electricity-free and will concentrate on increasing its authentic bush charm.
