Angama has appointed Ryan Brown as its new Head of Marketing, with immediate effect.
Having previously worked in a similar position for tour operator, Go2Africa, Brown is experienced in the marketing of luxury travel.
“He brings deep expertise and skills in online distribution, combined with a background in luxury travel media and an innate love for hospitality and inn keeping,” said Angama’s Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer, Steve Mitchell.
“Travel has always been my biggest passion and I’m thrilled to get closer to the guest experience with the premier operator in the Mara,” said Brown, adding that he was excited to work with the team at Angama.
CEO, Nicky Fitzgerald, said Brown’s appointment during these tumultuous times reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to guests, staff and travel partners.
Retirement at Seychelles Tourism Board
The Seychelles Tourism Board’s (STB) Director for Italy, Turkey, Israel and the Mediterranean, Monette Rose, has retired after 15 years with the company.
Prior to joining the STB, Rose worked for Air Seychelles for 17 years and other African airline companies.
Regional Director for Europe, Bernadette Willemin, described Rose as an enthusiastic professional.
“Monette’s passion for her country has transpired through her hard work. Dedicated and always available, Monette is a keen listener and has shared with us her expertise, creativity and her wisdom. She has been a strong link in my European team," said Willemin.
