Briony Smith has been appointed Region Manager: Africa & Domestic at Tourism KwaZulu-Natal.
Smith founded destination management company, Bee African Travel and Tours, and has been in the industry for 15 years. She started her career at American Express as a retail travel agent and has also worked Thompsons Travel and Three Cities Group.
Lewa Safari Camp in Kenya’s Lewa Wildlife Conservancy has appointed management couple, Sacha and Tamlyn Toronyi. The couple were born and raised in Zimbabwe and have been running safari camps together for the past 12 years. Sasha is a certified Zimbabwean Professional Walking Guide with a speciality in ornithology, botany and entomology.
Asha Cottage in Diani beach, Mombasa, Kenya, has entered into a long-term management agreement with Iain Leckie, who is the owner and operator of Lions Bluff, a lodge in Tsavo West. In terms of the agreement, Asha Cottage will be managed by Lions Bluff Management with effect from October 1.
