Skål International Cape Town elected its 2015 committee on March 10 at the Garden Court Nelson Mandela Boulevard Hotel.

Joy Strydom was elected President; Rory Goldhill and Judi Buikman were elected Vice Presidents; and the committee include: Lindsey Gibaud, Aneli Gerber, Martie Malan, Michelle Andrews, Lindie Strauss, Lodewyk de Klerk, Nicci Fourie, Carol Bayne, Shirley Brown, Philip Morse (Treasurer) and Anne Lamb (Secretary).

Victor Kirkbride has been appointed Manager and Whisky Connoisseur at Cape Grace’s Bascule Bar.

Kirkbride has been in the hospitality industry for the past 14 years, managing a variety of restaurants and bars, including Baraza Cocktail Bar, Tank Restaurant, Tourvest and Alba Lounge and more recently, aboard the Seabourn Cruise Line.

“I would also like to introduce new guests to our wide array of whiskies, and our regulars to a new and enticing whisky experience,” said Kirkbride.
