Ramani Naidoo has been appointed a non-executive director of Tourvest Holdings.
Naidoo is currently the lead independent director of Winhold Limited, a non-executive director of Invicta Holdings Limited and of a number of unlisted companies. Her former non-executive directorships include Allied Technologies (Altech), African Bank, Juta and Company, Stellenbosch Vineyards, as well as membership of the Advisory Councils of the University of South Africa (UNISA) Centre for Corporate Citizenship and the Centre for Responsible Leadership of the University of Pretoria.
An admitted attorney, notary public and conveyancer, Naidoo has spent many years both in private legal practice and in various corporate roles. She has a special interest in and has written extensively on corporate governance. She is the author of The Effective Directors’ Guide and Corporate Governance – An Essential Guide for South African Companies, the second edition of which was published in November 2009.
Travel Smart Crew (TSC) bids farewell to Greta Downie, who has been the General Manager since April 2006.
In Downie’s place, TSC welcomes Illana Clayton, who takes over the leadership role. Clayton has worked at Thompsons Africa with distinction for the past 14 years. Her experience includes sales and marketing, systems, purchasing and product management.
Sun International Zambia has appointed its first Sales Manager, Barbara Ngorima-Moono. Ngorima-Moono has experience working in sales since 1996. Based in the Lusaka office, she will be responsible for driving the sales strategies for Sun International’s Zambian properties, including the Royal Livingstone and Zambezi Sun.

&Beyond has announced the appointment of Mirus Marketing as its new sales representation in the UK and Ireland.
Mirus Marketing is run by travel professional Steve Daykin, who previously set up, owned and managed representation company, Exclusive Retreats, and luxury tour operator, Inspirational Travel. He was also MD of Union-Castle Travel and held a number of management roles at Thomas Cook.
