Kenya’s Lewa Wilderness lodge has undergone renovations to its rooms and gardens.
The lodge is near the base of Mount Kenya in the Isiolo district and comprises nine cottages: six on a hillside overlooking the Marania Valley and three in the garden.
The garden has been cleared for better views and the thatch on the garden rooms has been replaced, allowing for better lighting.
The lodge’s facilities include a sitting room, dining room, pool and tennis court. The dining room has new lighting and chairs and new lanterns mark wider paths to the rooms. Several bathrooms have also been renovated.
The owners of the lodge also allow access to the main house for use of the library and WiFi connection. As well as its gardens, Lewa Wilderness has a small farm and stables within walking distance of the lodge.
