The Betway SA20 international cricket tournament will return to South Africa for its second season next year. It kicks off on January 10.
The tournament will be contested by six teams based across six cities around the country. The teams consist of international and South African cricket players.
The stadiums to host the tournament are: The Wanderers in Johannesburg; Supersport Park in Centurion; Kingsmead in Durban; St George’s Park in Gqeberha; Newlands in Cape Town; and Boland Park in Paarl.
“The energy and passion our fans brought to Season 1 of Betway SA20 was truly unmatched, we can’t wait to feel the buzz in the stands once again. As we gear up for another season, fans can expect world-class cricket and entertainment that will leave you on the edge of your seat. It’s going to be an incredible ride,” said Betway SA20 League Commissioner, Graeme Smith.
The action kicks off when defending Champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, host last season’s semi-finalists, Joburg Super Kings, at St George’s Park in Gqeberha for the opening match.
Newlands will be the stage where the Betway SA20 Season 2 champions are crowned in the final on February 10.
