Serena Hotels has introduced a number of new activities for guests at its various lodges in Tanzania and Kenya.
They include: interactive cooking lessons; Swahili lessons; Maasai lectures that teach guests about the culture; dancing; bead making; photography lessons; aerobics and bicycle riding.
Guests can also learn basket weaving and bead making from the Kibwezi Women’s Group, learn how to make cocktails and take guitar lessons under the stars. Some Serena properties now offer horse riding; jogging; bush barbecue lunch and/or dinner; sundowners and lake-side breakfasts.
They can also participate in Serena’s environment conservation lectures and plant a tree, go on birding safaris, take a nature walk or ride camels. Other new activities include hyena talks, wildlife movies and Moorland hikes.
In Tanzania new activities are available at Lake Duluti Serena Hotel, Lake Manyara Serena Hotel, Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, Kirawira Serena Camp, Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp, Serena Mivumo River lodge, Selous Serena Camp, and in Zanzibar at the Zanzibar Serena hotel.
In Kenya new activities are available at Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp, Kilaguni Serena Safari lodge, Mara Serena Safari, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge and Serena Mountain Lodge.
