The outbound market from Zimbabwe is booming – in particular to Dubai and East Africa.
A recent South African Tourism Insights Unit report highlighted that Zimbabwean leisure travellers were choosing other destinations above South Africa.
South African hotels, airlines and tourism attractions, however, can gain a greater share of the Zimbabwe market by participating at the Spotlight TravelExpo in Harare on October 17.
This workshop is a Spotlight on everywhere – overseas travel, Africa regional travel and domestic travel within Zimbabwe.
At Spotlight TravelExpo, participants will meet Zimbabwe travel agents and tour operators. We expect 100 members of the trade to attend.
Harare residents and expats do a great deal of travelling to neighbouring countries – Mozambique, Zambia, East Africa, Botswana and South Africa. Beach holidays to Indian Ocean islands are also very popular.
Family-friendly holidays are a key feature of the Zimbabwe market, including offerings such as self-catering accommodation, health, wellness and activity experiences.
Spotlight TravelExpo is the only event in Zimbabwe specifically targeting the outbound market.
TravelExpo takes place at the Rainbow Towers Hotel Harare from 09h00-14h00 on Tuesday, 17 October.
The cost for a table is ZAR10 500 (€521.41) + VAT.
