Tourvest opened a new 200-seat restaurant, MAReSOL in Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront on Thursday, December 1.
The restaurant offers authentic Portuguese cuisine, and features old favourites such as piri-piri whole baby chicken, spicy trinchado, espetada and bacalhau, as well as platters and seafood.
Internationally renowned and experienced Eva de Jesus is the restaurant’s head chef. Brian Seaman, Managing Director of the restaurants and taverns business of Tourvest’s Travel Retail division says: “She has proved herself when it comes to developing menus, setting up kitchen procedures and training staff, including front-of-house product knowledge.”
MAReSOL is the latest addition to Tourvest’s portfolio of restaurants and taverns, which include the V&A’s Quay Four; The Cattle Baron Seafood Grill and Bistro in the Tsitsikamma National Park; The Cattle Baron Grill and Bistro in Skukuza in the Kruger National Park and Addo Elephant National Park; the Alba Lounge in Cape Town and King Shaka International Airports; and the Black Marlin and Bertha’s in Simon’s Town.
