This week’s Pic of the Week was taken on Freedom Day by photographer Christo Smith. The photograph is of the lighthouse in Umhlanga Rocks at sunrise, first seen on the #imstaying Facebook group.
In his post, Smith says, “My old friend, insomnia, visited me again last night. I decided to get up and take some photos just before sunrise.”
Smith took three photos of the sunrise in Umhlanga that day.
“The Lighthouse stood proud as the sky lit up into a warm fiery glow. The majesty of a beautiful South African sunrise always leaves me in awe. I am Proudly South African,” Smith writes.
