Africa Albida Tourism has announced that the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe will undergo renovations from June 20-29. They will take place between 22h00 and 06h00 with strict controls on movement and noise disruptions.
The reception area, Buffalo Bar, Makuwa-Kuwa restaurant, library, television lounge, Internet lounge and shop areas will all be refurbished, with new furniture, décor, painting and lighting.
Ross Kennedy, CEO of Africa Albida Tourism, said: “There will be some disruption to normal operations but with a carefully planned programme and constant communications with guests, we hope to minimise the impact. Meals, bar service and other services will be available throughout but may be served from different venues around the lodge to further minimise any discomfort.”
He said the limited trades work that was being carried out would be done from 10h00 to 12h00 and 14h00 to 16h00 daily. “These times have been chosen as this is generally when guests are off site enjoying activities around the Falls.”
Kennedy said, along with the entire team at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, he would personally oversee the entire project in a hands-on capacity. “There will be constant interaction with guests to inform, update and address any concerns and queries that may arise, and this will be dealt with by management, guest relations and me.”
