The zip-lining platforms at the Piekenierskloof Mountain Resort in the Western Cape have reopened following a recent wildfire that destroyed all seven platforms.
Three platforms are now up and running with the remaining four expected to be complete by August.
The completed route will have zip-lines over a dam, tree-tops and down the kloof into the valley.
Guests are equipped with a safety harness and helmet and are secured to the twin steel cables at two points. The zip-line is available to guests from the age of eight upwards.
Guests staying at the resort have access to a range of facilities, including mini-golf, an outdoor and an indoor heated pool, a games room for the smaller children and a play area with trampolines, jungle gym and a giant chess set.
The resort also offers day visitors target shooting, a health and beauty spa, a mountain biking route, Carmien tea and Darling Brew beer tasting, and the Kloof Restaurant.
Piekenierskloof Mountain Resort is located in the Piekenierskloof Pass near Citrusdal on the N7 and is part of the West Coast Way Berg Route, a self-drive sightseeing and tourism route.
