The visa waiver to nationals of the Russian Federation has been granted by Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba, spokesperson for the department Mayihlome Tshwete confirmed.

The visa waiver was awaiting reciprocity from the Russian Federation who have indicated their acceptance and willingness to reciprocate but needed to follow their government’s internal processes, said Tshwete. The visa waiver is expected to take effect by April 1.
